The famous Medoc Marathon in Bordeaux is so popular that it is hard to participate, tickets are sold out in minutes. Cavacursa Giró Ribot is the Penedés equivalent is a shorter running race, yet it also creates quite a buzz. Only 450 people can participate, and by now most of thickets have been sold, at this moment only 80 places are available for the 8th edition of the race. Enjoy the atmosphere of the vineyards in another way!
Date and time: 11 May 2024, 18.00 (those who prefer walking, can do a 8 km hike from 17.30).
Venue: Giró Ribot cava estate, Penedés (50 minutes by var from Barcelona via AP 7)
Price: 18 EUR. The price includes some grilled sausage at the end and a glass of cava (of course) along with some souvenirs and trophies for the winner.
